Coach Marvin has been with the Copperfield Sharks since the 2007 season. He has an extensive background as a swimmer and as a coach.
He is originally from New York City, NY and moved to Louisville in 2004. Coach Lazaro swam for St. Francis Prep High School and for State University of New York at Maritime College.
He is currently the Head Coach at Louisville Male High School; a position he has held since 2014. He was previously at Eastern High School in Louisville for 5 years serving as both Assistant and Head Coach.
His educational background and areas of study include: State University of New York at Maritime College - Marine Transportation/Business Administration and the University of Louisville - Education/Corporate Leadership.
His favorite part of coaching is, "the kids, of course!"
He enjoys spending time with his family, working out, reading and collecting Captain America and Star Wars memorabilia.
Coach Jenny has been with the Sharks since 2008. Jenny is originally from Deerfield, Illinois and moved to Louisville in 2002. She has a strong background in swimming, coaching and swimming instruction.
She swam with COHO, a year round swimming team in Illinois for five years and for Lakeside in Louisville for six years. She also swam at Eastern high school, beginning in the 7th grade, for six years, serving as Captain of the team her Senior year. Jenny also taught swim lessons at the YMCA for five years.
Coach Jenny graduated from Murray State University with a bachelors degree in Elementary and Special Education.
Jenny's favorite thing about coaching is the kids. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, movies, and her grandma's farm animals.
Coach Katelyn is a 2013 graduate of duPont Manual High School and a 2017 graduate of Transylvania University, where she swam all four years.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Elementary Education from Transylvania University, a Master's Degree in Teacher Leadership through the University of Louisville, and is pursuing and Ed.D. Doctorate Degree through UofL (Expected August 2025).
Coach Katelyn is currently a 5th Grade Teacher at Smyrna Elementary, an Assistant Swim & Dive Coach at duPont Manual High School, and the Head Swim & Dive Coach for Seneca High School. She also has experience as a summer supervisor with Kentuckiana Pool Management.
Coach Raegan is so excited to be back with the Sharks as a coach this time around! She is a 2025 graduate of Christian Academy of Louisville, where she was on the varsity swim team for 5 years alongside being involved in the School of the Arts program. Raegan also competed with Tsunami Swim Club at the Northeast Family YMCA for 3 years, and of course the Copperfield Sharks for 14 seasons.
Coach Raegan is currently a student at Asbury University, studying Instrumental Music Education with the plan of being a middle school orchestra teacher in the future. She is a member of Asbury’s swim team, where she specializes in IM and Backstroke events.
Raegan’s favorite thing about coaching is seeing kids grow in their love for the sport and building lasting memories & relationships!
